Part of the Neon Car Meets line, from Dean's Classic Cars. Every design in this line is painted like a mid-eighties poster: one tall arch-topped panel with a British place at dusk or after dark, a classic car breaking out over the bottom edge, and a big italic headline with the year underneath. The neon is part of the painting, printed, with Dean's signature bottom right. A small neon-sign Dean's Classic Cars badge sits on the left chest, and the painting does the talking on the back.

A turquoise 1966 Mustang GT fastback, fog lamps set in the grille, is parked outside a stainless-steel roadside diner with its headlamps on. The diner's windows are lit, a neon stripe in magenta and teal runs along its roof, a row of poplars stands behind, a pink fifties car with tail fins glows further back, and the tall neon arrow sign breaks out over the top left of the arch. The car carries no maker's badge anywhere on it.

A lighter French terry crew neck: smooth inside rather than brushed, so it is easier to layer and quicker to cool down in. The one you will reach for in most months of the British year.

Size guide
Measurements are taken with the garment laid flat. Chest width is measured across the front, armpit to armpit, so double it for the full chest. Allow up to 2.5 cm (1 inch) either way.

Care
- Machine wash at 30°C, inside out, with similar colours
- Do not bleach
- Hang dry, or tumble dry on low
- Iron inside out on low heat, never directly on the print
- Do not dry clean
