Every design in this line is painted like a mid-eighties poster: one tall arch-topped panel with a British place at dusk or after dark, a classic car breaking out over the bottom edge, and a big italic headline with the year underneath. The neon is part of the painting, printed, with Dean's signature bottom right. A small neon-sign Dean's Classic Cars badge sits on the left chest, and the painting does the talking on the back.

A black Mk1 Consul convertible sits with its hood folded down by an old stone humpback bridge, the river running slow underneath, oxblood leather seats and a column gear lever showing in the open cabin. Behind it a thatched coaching inn has its windows lit, the low sun sits just above the fields, swallows cut across the sky and the branch of a big oak breaks out over the top right of the arch. Further back, smaller and in shadow, another fifties saloon waits its turn. The two-door convertible Mk1 Consul was built by the coachbuilder Carbodies, and this one is out on a Sunday run. The car carries no maker's badge anywhere on it.
