Front three-quarter, sat inside a thin concentric ring with Dean's signature across the top. Look once and it is a Vitesse: the long low wedge of an SD1, the deep air dam, the black spoiler on the tailgate and those cross-spoke alloys. Look again and the doors are toolbox drawers, a jerry can fills the rear door, spanners run the length of the bonnet, sockets sit inside the headlamp units, and flame red is picked out on the handles and saws. A plain steel bolt sits on the nose where a badge would be. The plate reads VITESSE86, white with black characters. A torque wrench lies across the bottom, engraved 1986 SD1 VITESSE. The Vitesse was the hot SD1: a 3.5 litre V8, the big spoiler, the cross-spoke wheels and a proper saloon car racing career behind it.
